OUR ARTISTS

Beverly Larson
Watercolor, Pastel
Oregon, Wisconsin
bllarson@chorus.net

I like to paint things I find interesting... a little beauty, a little humor, a little mystery... these are the things that draw me to my subjects.

Dan Ott
Paper
Brooklyn, Wisconsin
danottart@gmail.com
http://www.danottart.com

Born in Manhattan Beach, California in 1954, I am a proud 5th generation Southern Californian who spent my youth on the beach and my adulthood in the Midwest, studying and now teaching at UW-Madison. I earned a BA from the Claremont McKenna College in California, an MAT from Oakland University in Michigan, and a PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dave Miess
Photography
Oregon, Wisconsin

Nature moves me. To be standing on the edge of Lake Superior watching the sun rise, or to be belly-down in wet grass making an image of a new spring flower provides me with incredible joy. My goal is to, perhaps, give viewers of my images a glimpse into how I felt when I tripped the shutter.

Gail McCoy
Watercolor, Collage
Sun Prairie, Wisconsin

I use color and texture to create paintings and collages interpreting emotion in nature. My work has movement, joy and spontaneity.

Joella Miller
Jewelry
Brodhead, Wisconsin

Judi Werner
Jewelry
Madison, Wisconsin
wernerj@gmail.com

Judi Werner focused her education on Computer Technology rather than the arts. It turns out that corralling all those bites and bytes over the years to make programs that people can use in their business was very creative work, with a lot of logical thinking and problem solving thrown in. It was a very useful foundation for this science-oriented artisan.

Karen Reppen
Mixed Media, Collage, Photography
Madison, Wisconsin
karen.reppen@earthlink.net

Fascinated by relationships between texture, pattern, color, light, and motion, Karen draws upon the imagery she observes in nature to express work that ranges from simple and straight-forward to wildly complex and deeply emotional.

Marcia Nelson
Glass
Madison, Wisconsin
mjxnelson@tds.net

Marcia chose stained glass as her art because it combined a number of skills she's been honing for years. She loves putting things together like a puzzle, and stained glass can be put together in many different ways with the same pieces but using different colors, and using different techniques in the construction.

Sandi Wysock
Figurative Fiber Art
Madison, Wisconsin
sandis.felts@hotmail.com

Sandi's primary creative focus is on creating classical purses with unique designs and colors but she has recently started using felt in other creative works.

Sandra Belozercovsky
Sculpture
Madison, Wisconsin
sandra@designforwardllc.com

I find that clay allows me to reveal stories wanting to be told. Complex as the many layers of the subconscious, a voluptuous array of gestures and textures, additions and subtractions.

Tamara Tsurkan
Acrylic, Mixed Media, Oil
Madison, Wisconsin
tamara@art-by-tamara.com

After trying several different styles and techniques, I now mainly work in two rather unrelated styles contemporary and folk art.
